Current Evening Beauty Favourites.

For me, evening time is one of my favourite parts of the day. Work is done, the family have all been fed (cats included), the washing up is put away (oh how I wish we had a dishwasher) and it's time for some me time before I rest my head on that pillow.

Recently I published my current skincare morning routine, well I'm here today to share with you the treats I am loving come sleep time. Towards the end of this ramble, my favourite cuddle partner features in his very favourite spot and my he's looking very photogenic indeed!

Today I fancy switching things up and start with something other than skincare.

Nails Inc Superfood Repair Oil
A nourishing oil best used at bedtime for nails and cuticles. I used to bite my nails and they have never fully recovered. I had tried using a supplement from Cult Beauty, however the tablets were like torpedos and on more than one occasion actually made me sick. The supplement has been reduced to the bin (until I research and try something different - any suggestions would be greatly received) and I am now on a quest to use this nightly. I have found after using for more than a week my cuticles are definitely more pliable, so am hoping for great things over long term use.

Kiehls Buttermask For Lips
An ultra rich, luxurious and thick balm packed with a tonne of goodness. If my lips are feeling slightly on the dry side, this Buttermask works a treat. I only apply a small amount and can still feel the product on my lips when I wake up. It's nourishing, softening and soothing on the lips to restore them to their former glory. An essential in my night-time kit.

Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Hand Cream
If you're looking for a boujee hand cream and do not want to pay Chanel prices, Laura Mercier's hand creams are divine. Almond Coconut is my favourite scent and the product soaks quickly and beautifully into dry hands to leave skin feeling soothed, smoother and certainly more hydrated by morning. I slap on the Nails Inc Repair Oil to my nails and then follow with this nightly.

Radox Sleep Aromatherapy Body Wash
A super-rich dreamy smelling body wash to leave skin feeling smooth and ultra-soft. The price is under £5, which is incredible as it really does feel like you're using a high-end spa-like product. The lavender scent helps you to relax and hopefully aid a restful nights sleep. The essential product to sit alongside the broccoli and pasta in your trolley and it's cheaper than a cup of coffee.

Face wise, I have been using 3 different products on rotation, depending on how my skin is feeling.

The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) & Alpha Arbutin
I am obsessed with this oil. It smells of sweet candy floss and melts into the skin beautifully all whilst promising to reduce dark spots and even skin tone. We all do what we can to look youthful for as long as possible and I am hoping by using this product regularly that my baby faced, chubby cheeks will not disappear. I have been using this in conjunction with.....

Ren Overnight Glow Dark Spot Sleeping Cream
I kind of think this is like the Ordinary's Oil, yet much pricier and in a cream formula. Ren's Dark Spot Sleeping Cream is surprisingly lightweight on the skin, yet rich and hydrating to leave skin glowing and smooth. I have freckles and a few dark spots on my face and I am quite sure that using this and The Ordinary's Ascorbic Acid have reduced the appearance very slightly to leave the dark patches less prominent and my complexion fairly even.

Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream
Drunk Elephant's Retinol Cream certainly deserves a notable mention. I have used this a couple of times, the recommended use to start with is once a week for Retinol virgins, which I am yet to really dabble in. Another product to target dark spots and fine lines, I don't know yet whether any reduction in dark spots is partly down to this product, but as it's targeted towards achieving similar results as The Ordinary and Ren, I thought it was worth noting.

Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
When my skin feels particularly textured or in need of a little TLC literally, I slap this on and awake to a smoother, more radiant complexion. I don't use this product weekly, however when I feel the need for a resurfacing treatment to exfoliate and dissolve dead skin cells, this is the one I always reach for.

To set both the ambience and scent in the bedroom air I have been enjoying using Fat & The Moon's Dream Weaver Mist (AD - this product was gifted to me). A herbal, non-toxic subtle scented mist with lavender and Californian poppies, to keep evil spirits and negative thoughts away. I am unsure if this works to prevent nightmares however the light scent is welcoming and I feel relaxed and chilled before hitting the hay.

Current Evening Beauty Favourites. Cat. Tom The Cat

After all that pampering I'm starting to feel slightly sleepy. Just the thought of fresh sheets, lovely products, a tea and cat cuddle makes me feel ready for bed. For now it's time to wake-up, I have laundry and the food shop to think of!

If anyone loves any of my selection of products or feels like I'm missing out on something, then please do let me know below. And let's keep it clean please! :)
